My First 3D Print : Jeep Kit Card

Notes:

This model, the Jeep Kit Card, is actually the first one I printed for this site. It’s supposed to be a simple, easy-to-print, easy-to-assemble project… but turns out, I was wrong about that last part.

I think I picked the wrong version to print as there are three Jeep models in there. The one I used doesn’t have the Jeep logo, and the bottom part doesn’t snap in place properly. It really needs glue to stay together. Maybe my print profile was off? Not sure.

Also, you’ll need pretty strong fingers and a bit of arm strength to fit all the parts together. I definitely struggled with that.

On the bright side, it’s easy to paint. I just hit it with black primer, and it already looked great.

Overall, I’d give it a 4/5 .. still worth trying, just make sure you grab the right model before printing.
