Today I 3d printed Neon Genesis Evangelion Eva 01 Small

I should probably say this upfront: this model went straight into my failed and forgotten prints pile because I seriously regret printing it.

On paper the design looks great and the photos sell it, but putting it together was a nightmare. You basically need a degree in engineering to assemble it .

3D Model Info

Model Name: Eva 01 Small
Original Creator: Desmo
Download Link:Download
Print Time: 6 hour
Filament Used: PLA Basic
Nozzle: 0.4mm
Layer Height: 0.20
Printer Used: A1
Notes:

parts require tricks to hold, and if you don’t know them pieces just topple one after another. You finish one section and another falls off. It drove me nuts..

A lot of the connecting tabs don’t line up with their counterparts, which only makes things worse. It’s possible my A1 printer profile was mismatched with this 3D design and that caused some of the fit issues, but either way I’m not going to pick it up again.

I was going to color it, but the constant falling apart would just make me pull my hair out.
